“Islam is built on five: testifying that there is no god but Allah, establishing prayer, giving Zakat, fasting Ramadan, and the Hajj.”
Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim
“Charity does not decrease wealth.”
Sahih Muslim 2588 — Narrated by Abu Hurairah
“Take from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them to increase.”
Qur’an 9:103
“Charity extinguishes sin just as water extinguishes fire.”
Jami‘ at-Tirmidhi 664 — Narrated by Ka‘b ibn Ujrah
“Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds, establish prayer, and give Zakah will have their reward with their Lord — and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.”
Qur’an 2:277
